The Minister of Agriculture of the Dominican Republic, Limber Cruz, delivered approximately eight (8) million pesos to several members of the Association of Pineapple Producers of Cevicos, Sánchez Ramírez province, who suffered losses with the past rains in November.

Pedro Suárez, from the Association of Pineapple Producers, thanked President Luis Abinader and Minister Limber Cruz for the quick support provided to the sector and said that they will immediately return to production to guarantee exports and local consumption.

In Mao, Valverde, the institution's Deputy Minister of Production and Marketing, Eulalio Ramírez, gave another 52 million pesos to the Dominican Association of Banana Producers (ADOBANANO) for the purchase of agrochemicals and fertilisers for the protection of production.

Domingo López, president of Adobanano, thanked the government and the authorities on behalf of the producers associated with the entity and said that this comes at a good time since production is in full development, which guarantees bananas for exports and the national market.
