Through a note to its customers, Maersk announced that it will move its services from the Contecon Guayaquil terminal to DP World Posorja in 2024.

The company indicated that these are the Ecumed services that connect Ecuador with Europe, the AC2 with Asia and the Guayaquil Feeder, which consists of an intra-American route.

"In line with our vision of becoming the true integrator of container logistics by connecting and simplifying our customers' supply chain through global end-to-end solutions, we are pleased to report that the services currently calling at Contecon Guayaquil, Ecumed (covering Ecuador's corridors from/to Europe), AC2 (which covers Ecuador's corridors from/to Asia) and Guayaquil Feeder (which covers the intra-American route) will begin calling at the DPW Posorja Terminal in early 2024," the shipping company said.

"A detailed transition plan is being refined and adjusted and will be announced in due course," he added.
