Paolo Cornetto Leaves His Vado Gateway and Reefer Terminal Post

2023-09-29

The CEO and managing director of APM Terminals Italia, Paolo Cornetto, has resigned and will leave his position from November 16th. The manager was appointed by Maersk in January 2017 to continue the Vado platform project, already started by his predecessor Carlo Merli. In 2019 he managed to cross the finish line by inaugurating the new terminal, which would later become a real system with the acquisition of the nearby Reefer Terminal.

Cornetto remained at the head of the new Vado Gateway port. Now the multinational will have to proceed with the rotation in the top role of Vado Gateway. No names have yet been ventured, however neither the company nor the CEO himself have deemed it necessary to provide reasons or comments apart from a simple passage: "to seize new professional opportunities".

The work carried out in Vado by Cornetto represented a prestigious springboard according to maritime analysts.
