The Genoa-based Messina Group has announced the addition of 200 new reefer containers to its fleet. These containers are all 40 feet in length and of the Pallet Wide (Pl) type. Each unit is equipped with Daikin Zestia refrigeration systems, Active Controlled Atmosphere (Aca) technology, global tracking capabilities, and remote monitoring and control.

"This investment expands our operational capacity and allows us to offer customers the most advanced technologies available for temperature-controlled transport," stated the company. "This ensures maximum cold chain integrity and preserves the quality of perishable goods at every stage of the journey." The containers will be integrated into the group's network, which connects the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, and Eastern and Southern Africa. This network effectively manages the entire supply chain, providing a single point of contact for customers from the collection of goods at the origin to final delivery.
