Cameroon: Banks Facilitate Full Payment of CDC's Salary Debt

The Cameroonian government has successfully settled a salary debt totaling 35.75 billion CFA francs owed to employees of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) with the support of Société Générale, CCA-Bank, and AFG-Bank. Finance Minister Louis Paul Motaze announced that this payment was completed on September 18, 2025.
The payment was structured into two tranches and facilitated through the sale of receivables, in accordance with the guidelines outlined in Finance Law. This financial relief benefits nearly 20,000 CDC workers, bringing an end to years of uncertainty.
