PHL Export Earnings Increase 7% to $6.75 Billion in April 2025

The Philippines' export earnings grew by 7 per cent in April 2025, marking the slowest growth rate since December 2024, according to data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Friday. The data revealed that export receipts rose to $6.75 billion in April 2025, up from $6.3 billion in the same month the prior year. In contrast, total export sales recorded annual increases of 8.7 per cent in March 2025 and 28.2 per cent in April 2024.

The PSA reported that the year-to-date total export value from January to April 2025 reached $26.87 billion, a 9.5 per cent increase compared to the $24.54 billion recorded during the same period last year. The commodity group that saw the highest annual increase in export value in April 2025 was "other manufactured goods," with an increase of $497.54 million. This was followed by fresh bananas, which experienced a $30.56 million rise, and coconut oil, with an annual increase of $28.47 million.
