2024-12-20

The Container Terminal of Marín, known as Termarín, is part of the Pérez Torres Group, one of the leading port operators on the Peninsula, with a presence in Spain, Portugal, and China. With a wide range of logistics services in more than 49 countries, it has become a benchmark in international port logistics.

It offers international maritime connections through shipping companies such as Maersk and Hapag Lloyd and has specialized in refrigerated cargo. From September 23 until March 25, 2025, Cool Carriers ships with melons and mangoes from Natal in Brazil will arrive. It directly connects to the national railway network, facilitating a weekly container service Marín-Algeciras-Marín and highway access.

The terminal, aware of the need for each recipient to have their cargo on time, offers uninterrupted hours from 7 AM to 9 PM for the delivery and reception of containers. Additionally, extending these hours during weekends, nights, and holidays is possible, thus guaranteeing flexible and efficient service to meet customer demands. It has over 500 plugs for refrigerated containers, a specialized workshop, and washing areas. With an area of more than 100,000 m² and equipped with four cranes, Termarín guarantees quick and flexible attention to ships.

The traffic of "reefer" containers is a priority at Termarín. Knowing how crucial it is to have a fast and modern PIF for this type of cargo, the Port Authority of Marín expanded in 2018, making the Marín PIF one of the most modern and efficient border control facilities in the Northwest Peninsula. This ensures compliance with the high standards required by the European Union, which is essential for maintaining the quality of food products and providing outstanding agility in inspections.

Since its establishment in 1962, the Pérez Torres Group has been a beacon of evolution and innovation in the port operations industry. Today, it is one of the most prominent port operators on the Iberian Peninsula, with a strong presence in the ports of Marín, Vigo, Ferrol, La Coruña, San Ciprián, Ribadeo, Cariño, Aveiro, Leixoes, Lisbon, Viana do Castelo, Figueira da Foz, and Shanghai. The group offers a comprehensive range of services, including port operations, ship consignment, freight forwarding, project cargo, chartering, customs agency, warehousing, sea fastening, and land transport.

Pérez Torres has its own land transport company, Grupo TT, which has a fleet of more than 300 units dedicated to national and international transport, with a presence in Spain, Portugal, and Germany.

The Pérez Torres Maritime Group provides top-notch advice and consulting in foreign trade operations. Its team of highly experienced professionals is a leader in customs and para-customs procedures for frozen fish, and it has a centralized office. Pérez Torres Maritime: A Decade Operating in Portugal

The Pérez Torres Group, through its Portuguese subsidiary PTM Ibérica, celebrates its 10th anniversary as an operator of the Port of Aveiro, achieving a leading position. In 2022, the group marked a milestone in this port with the inauguration of the Container Terminal and a direct service to the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The company runs in the North Terminal of the port, which has more than 100,000 m² of yard and more than 30,000 m² of covered warehouses. This port area includes a railway terminal connecting to all docks, covering an area of 8,000 m².  In its commitment to the neighbouring country and supporting its delegation at the Port of Aveiro, the group recently inaugurated a new office just 200 meters from the Port of Leixoes. This will allow it to expand its range of services as freight forwarders and customs agents.
